History:

A slightly itchy oval-circular red patch with peripheral scales of one month duration. Her father had a similar patch on his back and her brother was diagnosed as tinea capitis. A history of contact with a cat was positive. KOH examination showed positive dermatophytes. A very good response obtained on treatment with Clotrimazole cream applied twice daily within 3-4 weeks.
