History:

Three months violaceous rash covered with whitish scales (extensive Wickham's striae) with superficial erosion in one area. No sclerosis could be felt on examination. Two small papules typical and classical of LP were seen on one wrist. Very good symptomatic response and amelioration of the rash obtained on moderately potent topical corticosteroids and oral antihistamines within 6 weeks.
