History:

A young lady presented with painful and tender red swelling of both periorbital areas and surrounding cheeks of 10 days duration. The swelling was severe to the degree that it caused closure of both eyes. The rash was associated with fever, malaise and headache. The patient was treated with parenteral penicillin for 10 days with very good response.
