History:

It is interesting to notice the confinement of lesion's activity to the periphery of this circinate red plaque whereas the center of the lesion has cleared nearly completely. This feature is characteristic and may be pathognomonic of tinea circinata i.e. dermatophytosis. This man complained of itchy progressing red scaly rash on his leg of 3 months duration. He has been cured with clotrimazole cream twice daily prescribed for one month.
