History:

Granuloma annulare is a common condition presenting as a ringworm like lesion but the process is all dermal under the skin. There is no scale on the surface such as you would find with a fungal infection. This is the typical presentation of granuloma annulare but it can also be seen as multiple small papules particularly on the trunk and as flat purplish patches on the groins or thighs.
