History:

Herpes simplex is a common viral infection caused by a DNA virus. The primary infection is asymptomatic in majority of the cases. Recurrent infections also are common and may involve different parts of the body, however most cases occurring on the face. This young male presented with grouped vesiculopustular lesions near the lateral canthal area of his right eye. Most lesions have been changed into pustules with a complicating cellulitis around the eye is seen.
