History:

This patient suffered generalized itching when he was released after 2 months prison. He was diagnosed as scabies and was treated with Sulfur 10% ointment for 3 days. The itching disappeared but pruritic red scaly rash has appeared in both groin areas. On examination there were rounded erythematous plaques with scaly borders and less active centers affecting both crural areas. These plaques resembled flexural psoriasis. Scales were subjected to KOH examination and yielded hyphae and spores. He was diagnosed as Tinea cruris which seemed to be irritated and exacerbated by 10% sulfur applied for scabies.
