Differential DiagnosisHistory: Mycetoma is chronic granulomatous cutaneous and subcutaneous infection that sometimes involves the deeper tissues including fascia and bone. It is characterised by tumefaction, draining sinuses and presence of sclerotia or granules in the pus. Actinomycetomas are caused by microaerophilic actinomycetes, and eumycetomas are caused by fungi.
