Differential Diagnosis

History: Dermatographism is an exaggerated response to constituitional whealing tendency following  stroking or scratching of skin.  It is the most common form of physical urticaria occuring in 5% of the population.  It can occur with other forms of urticarias.  Symptoms can be aggravated by heat, minor pressure, exercise, stress, and emotion.
