Differential DiagnosisHistory: Seborrheic keratoses have a varying degree of pigmentation but the fully developed lesions are often deeply pigmented and do not reflect light. The proliferating keratinocytes trigger the activation of neighboring melanocytes by secreting melanocyte-stimulating cytokines.
