Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Case of Dr N Senanayake - This is a post-menopausal woman I saw in endocrinology outpatients for osteoporosis. I noted she had yellowish pebbly cobblestone skin over her cubital fossa region. She also had the same appearance on her neck, axilla and abdomen. She is suffering from pseudoxanthoma elasticum, the autosomal dominant type because one of her parents had condition as well. She started getting the skin lesions in her teenage years and has now developed some complications associated with the disease. She has retinal haemorrhages and has lost central vision in her right eye as a consequence and is under specialist care for this.
