Case of Dr S Conception 4 yo boy presents with itchy scalp
started 2-3 months ago - now mum reports spreading rash all over scalp and on shoulders.
Chemist gave them topical Canesten to try but no help after using it 2 wks.
Scalp scraping showed hyphae on microscopy, pending culture.
Started patient on oral griseofulvin and asked them to use nizoral shampoo. Seems improved after two wks of this.. continuing to follow up and await culture.
