History: Mycosis fungoides or T cell lymphoma of the skin can look remarkably like a dermatitis but often has little scale.The plaques are fixed and grow very slowly gradually becoming thicker and firmer as the T cell infiltrate of the epidermis increases.The lesions are often only slightly itchy.The skin may be the only organ involved for many years before the atypical lymphocytes spread to the local lymph nodes and elsewhere.
