Differential Diagnosis

History:

An 18-year old male presented with this vascular nodule with an easily bleeding tendecy and surrounded by  an  epidermal  collarette.  The  aims  of  treatment  of Pyogenic  granuloma  (lobular  capillary hemangioma)  are:

1. Total removal

2. Prevent recurrence

3. Good cosmetic outcome (avoid or minimize scarring)

So you can treat by any mean that fulfills these three aims. Personal preference and experience might govern your therapeutic option among surgical removal, curettage and/ or electrocautery, cryosurgey, lasers, intralesional injections of sclerosing agents  and more conservative treatment with table salt therapy!
