Apocrine hidrocystoma
A rare, benign, cystic tumor of the apocrine sweat glands. It most commonly presents as a solitary, asymptomatic, moderately firm, dome-shaped, translucent, blue, bluish-black, grayish, or purple cystic nodule or papule. Its size ranges from 3 mm to 15 mm in diameter. Giant variants measuring up to 7 cm in diameter can rarely occur.
Apocrine hidrocystoma is usually found on the head and neck, commonly affecting the cheek and the inner canthus of the eye. It is mainly observed in adults aged 30 to 70 years and rarely occurs during childhood or adolescence. Scissor excision is an easy office procedure with low recurrence rate.
