History:

 Lichenoid dermatosis usually affects young adult males with the onset is almost always at summer time. The rash usually involves the back of the neck and presented as an asymptomatic solitary or few round to oval dark-red to red-violaceous plaque(s). The usual concern of the patients is cosmetic and next is risk of contagiousness! The histopathology has many similarities to that of lichen planus actinicus, however with striking increased vascularity of the dermis! The cause is thought to be due to exposure to solar radiation!
