Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Mildly pruritic, red scaly rash involved the butterfly area of the face in addition to the lower lip of 6 months duration. The rash was covered with firmly adherent scales that on forciful removal showed "Carpet-tack sign". She has been treated with oral hydroxychloroquine 200 mg twice daily plus potent topical CS applied once daily in addition to a 30+ broadspectrum sunscreen applied on exposure to sun light. She showed an excellent improvement within 6 weeks.
