Differential DiagnosisHistory: Sycosis barbae or barber's itch is staphylococcal infection of the hair follicles in the beard and moustache areas. The primary lesion is a pinhead-sized pustule, pierced by a hair, which may, if neglected, lead to impetiginization and crust formation.
