Differential DiagnosisHistory: Squamous cell carcinoma of the penis often presents as a slowly enlarging red plaque which may bleed on trauma.There may be a previous history of genital wart virus. The condition is often in situ at first.When it becomes invasive a nodule will develope.While in situ it is readily treatable with imiquimod cream over a 6 week period.
