Differential DiagnosisHistory: The skin lesions of systemic lupus erythematosus are protean but photosensitivity is a prime factor.The oral involvement of this case is usually seen in systemic lupus but occassionaly discoid lupus can have oral involvement.Butterfly facial erythema is the archetypical rash associated with systemic lupus.Mucous membrane lesions are seen in 20 to 30 percent of systemic lupus cases.Erythema and erosions are particularly seen on the hard palate.
