Differential DiagnosisHistory: Iododerma is caused by the ingestion of excess iodide. This usually occurs when potassium iodide is used medicinally or from excess kelp supplied in health food products. The range of skin lesions is wider than those seen in bromoderma and can include bullous lesions as well as the more typical acneiform eruptions.Urticaria may be seen in mild intoxication and unusual presentations such as redness and scaling of the eyelids may be seen.
