Differential DiagnosisHistory: Congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma may present as a collodion baby.This was not the case with this patient.His problem was noted at about 1 month of age.The scaling was dealt with using thick ointment based moiturisers.The erythema was his main cosmetic problem.He sweated normally.This is an autosomal recessive disorder.
