Differential DiagnosisHistory: Chancroid ulcers may be single or multiple but are usually deep and tender with painful inguinal lymph gland enlargement in 50% of cases.Women tend to have more numerous lesions. The ulcers bleed easily.Infection is due to the gram negative bacillus Haemophilus ducreyi.Extragenital lesions are not uncommon. The image in a white patient shows a more superficial but still tender ulcer.
