History: Pyogenic granulomas are not usually as florid as these.raspberry like nodules of excess granulation tissue. They usually arise at sites of injury.Lesions around the edge of a nail have been mistaken for melanoma but also the opposite has occurred.Surgical excision generally cures the problem but multiple satellite recurrences have been known to occur. They have also been known to occur with Isotretinoin treatment of cystic acne.
