Differential DiagnosisHistory: Frontal fibrosing alopecia is a variant of lichenplanopilaris involving the frontal scalp mainly in women.In untreated cases there is some perifollicular scaling.The hair follicles are destroyed by this process.The condition is slowly progressive.Topical steroids and hydroxychloroquine may slow the process.
