History: Lipodermatosclerosis or sclerosing panniculitisis seen on the lower legs on the ankles and shins.The skin is bound down and thick and sharply distinct from surrounding norma skin.There is often associated venous insufficiency and associated problems with fibrinolysis.In general it is best not to biopsy these areas because of poor wound healing.
