History:

This elderly derelict female presented with a photodistributed crusted plaque on her hands and face and legs.She was an alcoholic suffering from a deficiency of niacin or its precursor,tryptophan. Pellagra shows the three Ds of diarrhea,dementia and dermatitis.The condition will reverse remarkably quickly on a normal diet.
