Differential DiagnosisHistory: Tinea infections can be modified from the use of topical steroids which suppress the inflammatory response.When the steroids are withdrawn the rash flares significantly as in this case.This was an extensive rash treated as a dermatitis.Skin scrapings grew Trichophyton rubrum.He responded well to oral griseofulvin over a two month treatment .
