Differential DiagnosisHistory: Orf or contagious pustular dermatosis is typically seen in farmer's wives, vets or shearers who handle infected sheep. It is caused by a parapox virus. The mouth area of the sheep is affected.Hence farmers wives who hand feed lambs get it on their fingers.Papules form into nodules which may ulcerate but slowly regress. This example was seen in a lady veterinarian who handled infected sheep. She also developed erythema multiforme,a rare complication.
