Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Moderately pruritic red scaly rash with active border and clear center involving both crural areas and nearby regions of six months duration. The patient gave history of partial symptomatic improvement followed by exacerbations and advancement of the rash on many occasions when the patient used topical preparations containing corticosteroids. Excellent response obtained on treatment with oral griseofulvin for 6 weeks.
