History: This is the annular lesional variant of Subacute lupus erythematosus. As well as being annular many of the lesions have joined up and become polycyclic. These lesions are mainly found in sunexposed areas but can extend beyond this exposure.Photosensitivity occurs in most patients who are usually Ro Ab positive. The lesions heal with surprisingly little scarring unlike the discoid lupus variant.
