Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Man who works as a gardener injured his face on the job. A few days later, developed oozing erosion and pain at the site of injury. 24 hours later, he developed marked swelling of the periorbital region and more subtle swelling of the cheek. Traumatic ecthyma (deep impetigo) plus localized, ipsilateral cellulitis. Cultures positive for MRSA. Admitted for intravenous antibiotics.
