History:

Tinea incognito is a term denoting "steroid-modified dermatophytosis" characterized by an odd presentation i.e lack of classical picture of tinea circinata (active border and clear center) so it may present as an eczematous, psoriasiform or even granulomatous rash. The presented case is tinea corporis treated wrongly with topical steroids for more than one month. The rash consisted of unilateral erythematous papules and scaly plaques (eczematous-like) involved the flexor aspect of forearm and dorsal surfaces of the forearm and hand of 3 months duration. The condition cured with 6 weeks course of griseofulvin.
