Differential DiagnosisHistory:
This lady suffered diffuse dark-brown to slate-gray pigmentation of the face of six months duration. She complained rash darkening on sun exposure. She had not used oral contraceptive pills or topical hydroquinone and her plasma cortisol and ACTH levels were normal. Skin biopsy was consistent with lichen planus pigmentosus.
