Differential DiagnosisHistory:
A 6-year-old boy lives in a rural area and has close contact with many domestic animals. He presented with a diffuse scarring alopecia with erythematous crusted and scaly scalp. Hairs at the periphery of involved patches are easily and painlessly pulled out. KOH examination of hair revealed fungal hyphae and spores.
