Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Classical grouped vesicles on an erythematous base affecting the T3 and T4 dermatomes on the left side.
The most dreaded sequel in this 60-year-old lady is the high likelihood of developing posttherpetic neuralgia (PHN). The early initiation of low dose oral steroids in these patients has reduced the incidence of PHN according to this author.
