Differential DiagnosisHistory:
This lady had previously reacted to low molecular weight Heparin being injected subcutaneously for deep venous thrombosis prophylaxis following joint surgery.
A different type of heparin was used on this occassion but she reacted very quickly with a localised dermatitic reaction in the overlying skin at the sites of injection.Some of the vesicles have joined up to form blisters.It responded rapidly to topical steroids and ceasing the injections.
