Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Diffuse non-cicatricial alopecia involved the crown and vertex regions of the scalp of one year duration. The patient didn't deny the habit of pulling the hair at periods of tension or unrest. On examination, hairs were cut at different levels from the scalp surface.
