Differential DiagnosisHistory:
A middle-aged woman presented with painful ulcers on a background of purpuric erythematous rash involved both lower legs of six months duration. The ulcers were shallow and painful and leaving atrophic stellate scars (atrophie blanche) on healing. Blood coagulability and fibrinolytic tests were normal and skin biopsy showed focal hyalinizing vasculopathy involving the small vessels in the mid and lower dermis.
