Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Four forms of leukonychia are recognized: leukonychia punctata, leukonychia striata, leukonychia partialis and leukonychia totalis. Regardless the clinical form of leukonycia the etiology falls in five categories: hereditary, traumatic, systemic disease, drugs and idiopathic. The current case was a leukonychia partialis of unknown etiology (idiopathic) of about one year duration.
