Differential DiagnosisHistory: SLE, DLE, rosacea, seborrhoeic eczema and photosensitivity are the commonest dermatoses that may present with red butterfly rash on the face. This woman presented with slightly scaly erythematous butterfly rash on the face especially on the nose of two years duration with exacerbations mainly during summer. Skin biopsy was consistent with DLE.
