History:

This condition is sometimes known as chronic superficial dermatitis or digitate dermatosis or small plaque parapsoriasis. The borders are very sharply defined and the lesions are only mildly itchy. The morphology is described as digitate like fingers. The patches persist for years and do not progress to lymphoma. They respond well to ultraviolet light or sunlight.

It is best to regard this condition as a type of dermatitis.
