Differential DiagnosisHistory: Psoriasis may involve the nails in up to 50% of the cases with the involvement is usually bilateral and symmetrical. Usually the ten fingernails and even the toenails are affected; however, occasionally it may be limited to few nails as in this 32-year-old lady who has had nail psoriasis confined to three fingernails. There was distal onycholysis, oily spot discoloration and red scaly patches of the finger tips.
