Differential DiagnosisHistory: Scarring alopecia involved most of the scalp of more than two years duration. On examination, many inflammatory red to purplish scaly papules were seen especially at the periphery of the cicatricial patches. The skin apart from scalp, nails and mucous membranes were not involved.
