Differential DiagnosisHistory: Most reported cases of congenital supernumerary digit involved appearance of an extra digit at the base or side of the fifth (little) finger that may be associated with other congenital defects like congenital CV abnormalities. However, the presented case was of a congenital extra thumb with a well-developed nail unit and fortunately was not associated with any other congenital defect. The extra thumb has been removed surgically with reconstructive surgery.
