Differential DiagnosisHistory: An 8-month-old infant presented with diarrhea, irritability & a psoriasiform rash involved the face in a characteristic periorificial distribution, both axillae and groins (diaper rash) of about one month duration. Serum zinc & alkaline phosphatase levels were below normal. He responded promptly to oral zinc supplementation.
