Differential DiagnosisHistory: An 11-year old girl suffered for the first time moderately pruritic, multiple, erythematous scaly plaques with some fissures on both legs and the dorsa of both hands of three weeks duration. History of atopic disorders was positive for many family members. The patient responded well to topical potent corticosteroid ointment applied twice daily plus an oral antihistamine given for three weeks.
