Differential DiagnosisHistory: A middle-aged woman has had multiple violaceous scaly papules and plaques on the extensor surface of both legs. Involvement of the right leg was much more severe than the left one. The lesions were severely pruritic and have been present for more than 3 years. One plaque on the right lower leg was complicated by central large but shallow ulcer covered with heavy scales and crusts. A biopsy from the ulcer margin excluded complicating SCC on a top of lichen planus hypertrophicus.
