History:

This 40-year-old man developed a hyperkeratotic elevated horn like lesion on the dorsun of the second toe of right foot a few years earlier, associated with multiple verrucae disseminated on the dorsal and platar aspect of the same foot.

Cutaneous horns or cornu cutaneum most frequently occur in sites that are exposed to actinic radiation or burns.  More than 60% of the lesions are benign, however, malignant or premalignant lesions might be associated with it.  Other conditions that have been described in association with the cornu cutaneum include verrucae, trichilemma, Bowen's disease, malignant melanoma, and basal cell carcinoma.
