Differential DiagnosisHistory: While out in the woods, hiking, this unfortunate gentleman acquired an embedded tick. He found this asymptomatic ectoparasite accidentally, while showering. The organism was removed, along with mouthparts, via superficial shave, and the patient was placed on prophylactic doxycycline.
